MyInsuranceCalcs.com publishes calculators and plain-English guides to help consumers understand insurance pricing and coverage. This page explains how we produce our content, what sources we use, and how we handle corrections.
Author and maintainer: Content is written and maintained by De Van Do, founder of MyInsuranceCalcs.com. De Van Do is not a licensed insurance agent; the site provides educational information, not insurance advice.
We exist to make insurance math and terminology transparent, without lead generation or data collection. We do not accept payment to feature or recommend specific insurers, and advertising (Google AdSense) is served automatically and does not influence our content.
Premium baselines, rating factors, and statistics come from official and industry sources, including the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), the Insurance Information Institute (Triple-I), and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Where a figure is time-sensitive, we note when it was last reviewed.
We review rate factors and time-sensitive figures periodically and date them in each calculator's "About This Estimate" section. If you spot an error, email us and we will investigate and correct it promptly. For how our calculators compute their numbers, see our methodology page.
